want to put together a visual presentation for your audience but don’t think you have the time? well then animoto is for you. this is a free service that will put together your images, videos, music, and text in a polished presentation in mere minutes.  as a teacher you can put together visually stimulating presentations as hooks for a new subject you are introducing, or have students create a visual summary of a topic as an assessment.

after a quick and free sign up i was able to navigate around the site easily and create a short presentation using only the stock photos and music they have open for all to use.

i selected a clean presentation style from the selection they had available (more choices were available for a monthly fee).
i selected a few pictures with a similar theme.

then selected music from their library.

then finalized my project, i did not add any text to this presentation as i just wanted to see what the program could do. The program determines the speed of your images based on the number of images you use and the length and tempo of the soundtrack you select, which might be the best feature of this service for a newbie video producer like myself.

i was able to put together this short presentation within five minutes!

another great thing i discovered while waiting for my video to be finalized was the animoto blog. this blog was full of great information on how to take better pictures, with tips for the professionals and novices alike.

i cant wait to start putting together better presentations for my classes and am very excited to see how my students will utilize this new tool in class.
